Returning To Work After a 5-Month Hiatus
After months of navigating health challenges and healing, I’m back—juggling work, motherhood, and everything in between. Here’s how I’m learning to find balance again.

The Last 8 Months Changed Everything
If you’ve noticed I’ve been quiet around here and on Instagram, you’re not wrong. I took a break to focus on something I never expected to need: my health.
Without going into every detail (because we’re not here to trauma dump), I dealt with a few health scares that forced me to slow down—physically, emotionally, and mentally. The kind of pause that makes you question how you’ve been living and what actually matters.
I had to relearn how to take care of myself.
That meant stepping back from everything—blogging, content, work, even parts of motherhood that I normally power through on autopilot.
Coming Back to Work (and Reality)
In March, I went back to work after nearly 5 months off. And let me tell you, it’s been a mix of emotions. Gratitude, overwhelm, motivation, exhaustion—all of it.
The hardest part hasn’t been the workload. It’s been learning how to balance it all again.
Balancing work and mom life
Saying no without guilt
Not letting my to-do list erase my needs
Figuring out routines that actually support me
I’m still working on it daily.
What I Learned During the Hiatus
Rest is not lazy.
I used to think I had to earn rest. Turns out, I needed it to survive.
You can’t pour from an empty cup.
Cliché, but real. I was running on fumes for way too long.
Your body always keeps the receipts.
Stress, burnout, skipped meals, no sleep… it all catches up.
Moving Forward (With Less Hustle, More Intention)
I’m back, but I’m doing things differently. Slower. Smarter. More intentionally.
